Our B Corp Journey
In June 2025, O'Keeffe's became B Corp Certified, joining a global community of businesses committed to balancing purpose with profit.
This certification reflects our long standing commitment to doing business responsibly supporting our people, strengthening our communities, and reducing our environmental impact across our operations and supply chain.
As one of only 100 B Corp Certified businesses in Ireland, we are proud to be independently recognised for meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
For us, B Corp is not a finish line, but an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. From reducing single use plastics and supporting local initiatives to investing in responsible partnerships, we remain focused on building a business that creates positive impact for our customers, communities, and future generations.
Community
As a long-established family business, we believe in giving back to the communities that have supported us over the last 40 years.
We are proud to support local charities, clubs, schools and community initiatives through sponsorship, fundraising and ongoing partnerships.
From local events to community organisations, we believe businesses should play an active role in supporting the people and places around them.
GAA Club Funding
We support local GAA clubs through fundraising and sponsorship initiatives, helping provide resources and opportunities for players, families, and communities at grassroots level.
Cancer Connect
We provide annual funding to Cancer Connect to help support the important services they provide to individuals and families affected by cancer. Supporting transport of patients who need treatment.
Field of Dreams
We proudly support Down Syndrome Ireland Field of Dreams through annual funding and regular volunteer visits, offering employment, helping promote confidence, independence, and valuable life skills.
OLGC Schools Programme
We supported the OLGC Schools Programme, an inclusive eight week soccer initiative for children with additional needs that encourages activity, confidence, teamwork, and fun in a positive environment.
Environment
We recognise the importance of reducing the environmental impact of our operations and continue to invest in more sustainable ways of working across our bakery.
Current initiatives include:
Installation of solar panels at our production facility
Reducing energy consumption across operations
Improving production efficiency
Reducing single-use plastics and packaging waste
Ongoing monitoring and reporting of environmental targets
People
We believe a responsible business starts with the people behind it. Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive workplace remains a key priority across every level of the company.
We are committed to:
Fair and transparent employment practices
Supporting employee wellbeing
Creating opportunities for growth and development
Building an inclusive workplace culture
As part of our commitment to transparency, we publish our Gender Pay Gap Report annually and continue to evolve our approach as the business grows.
Always Improving
Sustainability is an ongoing process, not a finished project.
As our business continues to grow, we remain committed to improving how we operate - making responsible decisions that support our people, our customers, our community and the environment over the long term.
